Lethbridge, AB - The Kodiaks headed into their third home game of the season, hoping to keep their winning streak going.

Minutes after the first whistle, the Kodiaks achieved their first goal of the game, executed by #2 Meaghan Welby. #22 Olivia DePasquele kneed in the ball at the Lions goalkeeper, taking a deflection off of her and in.

As the weather decided to take a turn for the worst, both teams had no choice but to fight through the cold, giving it their all to keep the momentum going.

The Kodiaks fought hard, keeping the ball close to the Vikings' net, however; their goaltender, Sofia Ovcharenko was on her toes ready to stop anything that came her way.

The Kodiaks dominated the ball going into the half, showering the Augustana keeper with shots that couldn't find the back of the net and keeping the score at 2-0.

The second half started off with a goal from the Vikings' player #14 Kristy Hernandez at the 10-minute mark. The Kodiaks returned the favor with an easy goal from #5 Ashley Sazalski.

Player of the Game #15 Jayna Timinski then followed up with a goal of her own, flashing her footwork in the process.

The Kodiaks continued the pressure through the whole second half, forcing the Vikings to substitute keeper Kristi Bignell to face an onslaught of shots. Showing off their passing skills, #10 Ailsa Fallows knocked a goal in off a pass from #5 Ashley Sazalski. After switching up the lineup for the Kodiaks, they managed to score one more goal with traffic in front of the net to finish off the game in the final moments. #22 Olivia DePasquale scored off an assist from #17 Ambreah Kelly to end the game with a score of 6-1 for the Kodiaks.

The Vikings set their sights on Friday, October 15th, when they take on the RDP Queens.

Kodiaks WSOC played yet another hard-fought and tactically sound game, continuing their win streak and proving themselves to be a force to be reckoned with. The Kodiaks' women hope to continue their streak going into playoffs next week as they await the winner of the Vikings and Queens on Sunday.
